Julianna has been featured in The King County Journal, and contributes to the Interior Redesign Industry Specialists trade newsletter. Women’s groups and other organizations from around the Puget Sound Area have booked Julianna for her Do-It-Yourself class, “Secrets to a Sensational Room.” She is a highly successful speaker, teacher, and workshop leader. She has taught accessorizing and other workshops for community college and continuing education programs since 1985. “Our homes are our haven, our place of refuge, a place for memories and precious family moments. A home is a place we express our dreams, our personality, and what we value most. We want to make it all it can be.
As an Interior Decorator, it’s my goal to bring to life my client’s vision and style. I learn my client’s desires for the room, and how the family actually uses the home. By collaborating with and listening to each client, I’m able to create a functional, comfortable, and livable home, which inevitably amazes! I give each space it’s own unique feeling, while being sensitive to each client’s budget.”

Having always been a creative mind, Barbi worked as a Fashion Merchandiser creating inventive clothing displays --all the while changing everything in her own home and any other home she had access to! She loves to paint, organize, shop, and move around furniture. Changing locations with the military made for fun new places, and once she got tired of one, it was time to move on…and start new.
After taking some years off to raise her boys, Barbi decided to pursue a career in Interior Redesign. She has a dear friend, Teresa Adkins, who is a Redesign Specialist, so she started out working as Teresa’s assistant. Barbi immediately felt that this is what she needed to be doing. Her dream came true when she was professionally trained by Marcia Smart of Smart Interiors in November of 2003. Barbi’s husband is very excited that she will be working on other people’s home and is hoping she’ll leave hers alone for a little while!
Barbi enjoys redesigning in Covington, Washington. She is an active member in her community, and loves the rewards of helping others turn their house into a home.
